Know Your Movies

Film is the culmination of the arts. In film, you can see painting, music, drama, writing, and even fashion. Film is an art form in and of itself. It is one of the most interesting art forms as well because it is a totally collaborative art. We, as filmmakers, get to go out, make some beautiful pieces of work, and we get paid for it!

It is impossible to make a film by yourself. Everyone depends on each other to do their part and to do it well. It is incredibly stressful, incredibly difficult and incredibly fun. In a perfect world filmmakers would have access to unlimited resources and could make anything they desired. We obviously don’t live in a perfect world, so we all do what we must. 

The real success of being a filmmaker comes from the talent of finding the balance between the art and the business.
