“You walk away with more than skills — you walk away changed.”
Learn film production in Louisiana directly from an industry pro, in the real world, not a classroom. One-on-one mentorship. Build Industry Connections and Gain Real Experience.
The Louisiana Film Connection is hands-down the best film school in the state, providing opportunities to connect to the film industry that no other film school can offer. How do we do it? By skipping the classroom environment completely. With our unique one-on-one film school, you will be placed as a working extern in a real Louisiana film production company, to be trained in private lessons with an actual experienced film industry pro! You’ll learn on-the-job and on the set, participating in real productions and making important connections that can help establish your career. With the other film schools, you have to wait until you graduate, then HOPE you can break in to the business. With our program, you’re already in the door—from the very first day of your training!
If you think there are no opportunities to connect to the film industry in Louisiana, think again. Due to generous incentives offered by the state, Louisiana has become home to the busiest film industry outside of Los Angeles and New York, earning it the nickname “Hollywood South.”
Suffice it to say that there are a remarkable number of opportunities to break into film right here in Louisiana, whether you live in Baton Rouge, Shreveport or anywhere in between. All you need is some training and the right connections—a way to get your foot in the door. And by placing you as a working extern on-the-job, that’s exactly what the Louisiana Film Connection offers you that other film schools can’t.
With our program, you’ll be paired with a mentor who specializes in your field of interest in film, whether it’s cinematography, screenwriting, post-production/special effects, film editing, producing or directing. You’ll follow a structured curriculum (complete with homework), but you’ll find the REAL education to be the experience you receive on real productions with your mentor. By the time you finish the program, you’ll already be an industry insider, ready to launch a career in the thriving Louisiana film community. And if your dream is to break into Hollywood itself, we can help with that, too: your mentor can focus your curriculum on developing your very own film idea step by step, and at the end, we’ll arrange for you to pitch your film in Hollywood!
Of course, one major concern is the cost—and with good reason. Most film schools charge an arm and a leg in tuition, leaving you with crippling student debt that can shipwreck your career before you ever set sail. Not with the Louisiana Film Connection. Our tuition rates are regularly 75% LESS than our competition, so you can focus on your career, not on how you’re going to pay off your student debt.
Time to decide: are you ready to get involved with a film training program that can actually connect you to the film industry? Are you serious about forging a career in film, and do you have the passion to make the most of an incredible opportunity? If so, we want to talk to you. APPLY FOR FREE TODAY, and find out what the Louisiana Film Connection can do for you!
Some of our graduates have gone on to become film directors, script writers, and production company owners. Others are creating and producing their own films across genres like documentary, drama, comedy, action, and animation

“I am more motivated than ever before because I can already see an enormous improvement in my writing skills, understanding of film and screenplays, and my understanding of the movie business because my mentor and I have a boxer / trainer relationship. Now that might not work with others but for me as the extern I couldn’t be happier.”
