These L.A. dream mentors will tighten your pitch with you in preparation for a face-to-face meeting with an industry decision-maker. You’ll be flown out to L.A. and live like a Hollywood insider to see if you’ve got the next great movie idea!
Oklahoma City is the state capital of Oklahoma, as well as its largest city, hosting a greater metro population of over 1.2 million people. Although most people don't readily associate OKC with the film industry, in the early days of the industry it served as a major film exchange and distribution center for movies, developing its own "Film Row" of movie houses. Today, the "Film Exchange District" in Oklahoma City pays homage to this history.
Frequent film and TV production activity continues to take place in and around Oklahoma City, primarily in the form of on-location filmmaking, encouraged by generous tax incentives and rebates offered by the state film office. Some of the movies that have been filmed in and around Oklahoma City include Rain Main, Elizabethtown, The Killer Inside Me, Dennis the Menace, and the 1962 version of the filmal State Fair, just to name a few. Whether your interest is in producing, directing, editing, special effects or lighting, Oklahoma City has a lot of opportunities to offer.
