Ron Osborn – Screenwriter, Mentor

Pasadena, California based Film Writer and Film Producer

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Ron Osborn has been a mainstay on the television writing circuit. Working for all of the major broadcast channels, as well as high-profile cable channels such as HBO, Showtime, FX, and Disney, Osborn has garnered 10 Primetime Emmy, CableACE, and Writers Guild of America nominations.

Those nominations came from a variety of genres, including the wise-cracking, crime-solving, detective show Moonlighting with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd, and the presidential drama The West Wing. Both shows were long-running, star-studded, must-see TV affairs. But it was a foul-mouthed duck that brought Osborn a CableACE Award.

As the executive producer, co-creator, and head writer for Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man, Osborn won a CableACE Award for the Best Animated Programming Special or Series. He produced four seasons and 70 episodes for the show, gathering award nominations every year.
