This isn’t a boring Amarillo film school classroom. This isn’t an overcrowded college laboratory. This is life. Real Life. YOUR LIFE.

Working professionals know filmmaking, not professors who lecture. We’ve teamed up with locals in your area to bring you a unique filmmaking program called Amarillo Film Connection. You can choose our 6-month film behind-the-scenes track that partners you up with local industry professionals or be the big cheese and dive into our 8-month director’s track. Our director’s track has your local mentors steering you through the writing, shooting, and editing process. Additionally, every student in the director’s track has a dream mentor, an industry veteran located in Los Angeles. Hollywood better get ready for you because we’ll be flying you out to L.A. during the last week of your studies to have your own Hollywood pitch meeting with an industry executive.

Get Real World Film Production Experience in Amarillo

Located in the panhandle area of northern Texas, the city of Amarillo is home to roughly 200,000 people and is largely supported by industries such as meat processing, petroleum and helium. Amarillo benefits from the support of film offices on both the state and local levels, generous financial incentives offered by the state to attract filmmakers, and its location within driving distance of major cities such as Albuquerque and Dallas/Ft. Worth. If you’re looking for a career in filmmaking as a film director, film producer, film editor, or cameraman, Amarillo affords more opportunities than first meet the eye–and FILM CONNECTION can help you tap into those opportunities.
