This isn’t a boring St. Joseph film school classroom. This isn’t an overcrowded college laboratory. This is life. Real Life. YOUR LIFE.

Why move your entire life to L.A. or New York to study filmmaking when a better program exists right here in St. Joseph? That’s right, Film Connection Film School in St. Joseph, MO has a real-world, not classroom, experience waiting for you. You’ll also get industry contacts in your filmmaking community. Traditional film schools can only expose you to other students.

Start with our 6-month program if behind the scenes is where you’d like to be. You’ll be hooked up with local mentors who will guide your personal project and give you the skinny on what it takes to be a working filmmaker. And if you need to feel the complete film experience, then the 8-month directors track is what you want to try. Your local mentors will help you write, direct, and edit your project. Additionally, you will be working closely with dream mentors who are located in Los Angeles. They’ll be there when you arrive during your last week of the program to slam dunk a pitch meeting in person with an industry executive. It’s a long road from St. Joseph to Hollywood, but we’ll help you make it!
