This isn’t a boring Washington DC film school classroom. This isn’t an overcrowded college laboratory. This is life. Real Life. YOUR LIFE.

What separates the Film Connection from ordinary schools, colleges, and trade schools is the amount of access to working professionals our externs get. With Film Connection, you’ll get one-on-one instruction from people who are actively working in the industry right in the D.C. area.

We offer programs that are six to nine months long and cost just a fraction of what most “name” schools charge for tuition. But it goes beyond just the time and money you’ll save; our unique mentored externship approach is the secret of our success. At our Washington D.C. Film School, we don’t stick students in a classroom with a bunch of other students; instead, we place them with a seasoned film professional in a real film production company as an extern.

Don’t Spend More on your Film Education if You Don’t Have to

Our program not only offers students an immersive experience at an affordable price—it also gives them access to some of the best mentors in the business who have years of experience in both Hollywood and independent films alike. Plus, many graduates have gone on to work on major motion pictures or television shows after completing our program due to their strong relationships with their mentors!

This mentor will teach them all aspects of the film industry, from scriptwriting and editing to directing and producing to working on set or post-production film mixing and mastering. Our film courses Washingon D.C. also cover valuable business skills such as marketing, budgeting, scheduling, contract negotiation, and more. This immersive experience gives students the opportunity to make valuable industry contacts while they develop their skills in a real-world setting under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
