Top Ten Things You Need To Know

  • The Film Connection is better than regular film school. With the Film Connection, you learn one-on-one in a professional film production company in your city or town.
  • Unlike traditional schools, you DO NOT have to compete with 20-40 other students for one-on-one attention and learning time with your teacher. With the Film Connection, you learn one-on-one. Just you and your professional mentor/private tutor.
  • With the Film Connection, you take a STRUCTURED COURSE CURRICULUM. Your course is administered to you one-on-one by a real film professional who adds his/her many years of film production experience to our industry sponsored course curriculum.
  • The Film Connection was started in 1983 and has been privately owned and operated for over 30 years. We are still owned and operated by the same executive staff as when we started. Our corporate offices are located in Hollywood, California. Our film programs are available wherever you are, in film production companies worldwide.
  • With the Film Connection, you not only get a private film mentor in a real film company, but you will also be assigned a Student Services Representative. The representative is available to assist you with homework and job placement assistance.
  • If you do not get hired by the film production company where you are apprenticing, you will automatically be enrolled in our Stay Connected Program which enables you to find employment in the film business, for no additional charge.
  • The Film Connection is a perfect complement to your day job or regular school. If your parents insist you go to a traditional film school, you can attend the Film Connection in tandem. We will do our best to work around your busy schedule, AND we’re located where you are. You don’t need to relocate to attend our film school alternative.
  • Once you graduate, you will be certified by the Film Connection. This certification, along with your six months of production experience and the connections you will make, give you an advantage when it comes to finding work as a writer, producer, production assistant, grip, gaffer, assistant director and more in more than 3,000 actual video and film production companies nationwide.
